Valued natural varieties include golden, pink and orange-pink topazes, which may be referred to as Imperial topaz. Their value depends mainly on the exact shade, color saturation, clarity, size and quality of the cut.

Major producers of topaz include Brazil, Pakistan, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Madagascar and several regions of Russia. Brazil is particularly well known for high-quality colorless, yellow, pink and orange topazes suitable for cutting.

Thanks to their high hardness, transparency and striking brilliance, faceted topazes are suitable for making pendants, earrings, rings and other jewelry. Individual stones vary in color, clarity, proportions and type of cut, giving each piece its own unique character. Faceted topazes can also be kept as individual collector’s stones or given as an original gift to gemstone enthusiasts.
