Faceted moldavites
Our faceted moldavites are natural Czech moldavites carefully cut to highlight their characteristic green colour, transparency and unique internal structure. In our selection you will find cut moldavite gemstones in various shapes, sizes and faceted cuts – from smaller stones suitable for jewellery making and setting to larger collectible specimens.
Moldavite is a natural tektite formed in connection with the impact that created the Ries crater in present-day Germany approximately 14.8 million years ago. The best-known moldavite deposits are located mainly in the Czech Republic, especially in South Bohemia and Moravia. Thanks to its origin, colour and rarity, natural Czech moldavite is highly sought after by collectors, jewellers and gemstone enthusiasts around the world.
Faceting reveals a different side of moldavite than its natural raw surface. A well-executed cut enhances the stone's colour, brilliance and transparency and makes faceted moldavite suitable for rings, pendants, earrings and other jewellery. Each cut moldavite in our offer is a natural stone and the photographs show the actual piece offered for sale.
